Astrophotography

One exciting step for astronomers is to combine what they see in the eyepiece and a camera to create lasting images for to enjoy and share. With amature equipment, you will not get the spectacular images you see from the Hubble Space Telescope, however, it is possible to get some great quality images.

Below are my atempts into the world of astrophotography.

C17/P - Comet Holmes - October 27th. 2007

10x10 seconds, ISO 800, LX200 at f/6.3. Stacked with DSS. Minor adjustments in PSP. (Vignetting due to the reducer.)
